The Ecole d’Humanité is a progressive international boarding school with an American college-prep curriculum, located in the heart of the Swiss Alps. Students and teachers from 20 countries live together in a dynamic community that fosters the discovery and development of individual talents – academic, artistic, practical, athletic, and social – in an atmosphere that encourages self-determination, innovation, and tolerance. Classes are small, collaborative, and discussion-oriented. The school offers a broad ESL program. Recent graduates have attended a wide array of universities including Bard, Boston Conservatory, Brown, Colorado College, Hampshire, Musikhochschule Luzern, NYU, Oberlin, and Oxford. To balance the morning's intensive academic program, students devote afternoons to the arts, sports, and practical work, selecting from some eighty courses. Twice a year the entire school sets out in small groups on 4- and 6-day hikes into the Swiss and Italian Alps. See our introductory video at No Summer Program in 2016
