Brewster Academy Summer School (BASS), located on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee in the cozy, summer resort town of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, USA. Designed for students ages 13-17, BASS provides a combination of academics for enrichment and afternoon adventure recreation activities. Brewster Academy Summer School offers a hands-on learning environment focused on skills building in and out of the classroom. Students choose electives including English as a Second Language (ESL), creative writing, mathematics, science, theater, computer graphics, 3D modeling and printing, movie making and Instructional Support. Classes are typically between four to eight students. Adventure recreation includes canoeing, hiking, rock climbing and kayaking. Weekends are for adventure recreation and trips for fun, such as visiting the ocean or going to Boston. Students live in small dormitories, typically seven to twelve students, Americans and Internationals in double or triple rooms to give a sense of global community.
